In today’s digitally connected world, content is one of the top ways in which we connect with our audience. It’s about getting our message out there to be seen, heard and action taken on. It stands to reason that we want to make that message as effective as possible and for it to resonate with our target market. In this post I want to  share 10 content tips that I have used very effectively and still do, that I know will skyrocket your sales.

Don’t just take my word for it. Many of these tips have been and are being used by savvy marketers both online and offline all the time. The beauty is that they can be used in many different types of content equally effectively. It’s about how best to build a connection to your audience so that they will take action on whatever you have to offer.

As most businesses are gearing up now for the peak sales seasons (Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Thanksgiving and Christmas) — it provides a great opportunity for you to try them out for size in your content copy. People are in buying mode and you can measure exactly what resonates and delivers the desired results.

10 Content tips to skyrocket your sales

# 1. Show them the vision

Make your reader visualize they have already bought your product in your content. Tell them what results they have gotten and how it makes them feel.

In this way they will already be emotionally attached before they buy, making the buying decision that much easier. Many times people cannot see the results for themselves and they need to have somebody else tell them how it will be.

# 2. Tell a Story

Turn your sales copy into an article or blogpost. It could be a story, or how-to article. People love stories and things that they can relate to. People will also remember a story way better than just a lot of words on a page, selling something.

The article or blogpost will then lead them to your landing page without them knowing that the article was actually doing the selling for you. . As a result, they will already be interested when they get to your sales pitch.

# 3. Make it irresistible

Make sure you show your reader that they are getting a bargain. Who doesn’t like a bargain? Tell them the usual price you sell your product for,  is 99$. Then tell them if they order it today, they can get is for 69.95$.

This also triggers FOMO (Fear of missing out) and spurs them to take action rather than miss out on the special deal.

# 4. Target your audience in the headline

Direct your message headline to your target audience. This is absolutely crucial. Your readers will feel important and as if they belong to a select group of people who buy your product.

For example; “Attention Accountants — Discover A New Way To Increase Your Client Base!

Whatever content comes thereafter they will automatically connect with as they believe you are talking directly to them.

# 5. Share how fast they can receive the product or service

Tell your reader how fast they can receive your product or service in your content. Their buying decision may be based on how fast they can receive your product or service.

They may need it by a certain deadline and unless you clarify this up front in your copy, they will not know that you can satisfy this requirement.

# 6. Highlight the benefits

Super important. Highlight your product or services’ benefits. It’s not about the features. Benefits are the key to selling anything, make them standout in your copy.

Create a bulleted list and use dots, dashes, or circles to highlight them. For more emphasis try creating a table in the content that stands out to really draw their attention. Let them be able to see this table in their minds eye when they think about what you have shared.

# 7. Super-size the guarantee

Everybody understands the concept of super-sizing. Give a money back guarantee that surpasses a normal one. Instead of the normal timed guarantee, give them extra back.

Tell them they can keep the free bonus or give them double their money back. Make it a no-brainer, something that puts their mind at ease but also adds more value to the deal.

# 8. Add surprise bonuses

Tell your reader they’ll receive surprise bonuses. Most people love surprises. This’ll raise your reader’s curiosity and make them want to buy so they can find out what the surprise bonuses are.

Just another tip – make these bonuses as valuable as you can. Your customers will appreciate this and definitely tell everybody about it, potentially bringing you more clients and sales.

# 9. One time offer only

Let your reader know this specific package/offer will not be offered again. You must create urgency so people buy now. You may always sell the same product but not with the same bonuses or at the same price.

# 10. Share tips to solve their problem/s

Give them a couple of valuable tips in your content that will help them with their problem. This will give your business credibility and gain your readers trust to buy your products or services. Everybody loves freebies and if they deliver a specific result or solve a problem it’s a definite win the in the client’s eyes.
